• Framework - Creating a workable paradigm from a loose framework provided by theorists such as Henry Jenkins has been the collective process of the group since its inception. Continuing to define this form remains a core part of StoryCode's intention and efforts. As our focus is on creation, not theory, we force the form to be defined in a way cultural institutions and the public can benefit from.
• Audience - A New York-based community of advertisers, filmmakers, technologists and other artists has convened in a way never before seen, yet which needed to happen for this form to adapt and take shape. With partnerships connecting StoryCode with both American and international practitioners of the form, the true reach of our organization online and offline is over 2,000, a number which includes the mavericks and gamechangers of their industries.
• Outreach - Traditional community outreach is not adequate for the highly sophisticated and socially engaged group to which StoryCode appeals. As such, the organization’s outreach and engagement strategy and executions lines up with a time and a style that gives us an edge in promoting events and reaching the people who increasingly search for the programming and content we provide.
• Experts - StoryCode is able to hold the sole market position in the transmedia/cross-media world as of 2012 and as such is able to attract individuals who are experts in their field and contribute to the knowledge pool and who attract viewers and members to our events.
